RPS UI Framework

Download on Nexus Mods · Source code

RPS UI Framework is released. It displays menus in the Fallout 4 VR world and routes controller pointing, clicking, scrolling, and back navigation. Mods supply their own menus; the framework provides the shared panel host.

Installation

Install Fallout 4 VR and F4SEVR, then install the framework through your mod manager when another mod lists it as a requirement. The plugin is Data/F4SE/Plugins/RPS_UI_Framework.dll.

Install RobCo PALM to get the wheel menu, configuration panels, and item spawner. The framework alone does not add those menus. Its native controller input works without ROCK or a skeleton provider; PALM's optional physical interactions and hand gestures have their own requirements.

If a panel does not appear

For a PALM rendering report, include RPS_UI_Framework.log and RobCoPALM.log from the tested session, under Documents/My Games/Fallout4VR/F4SE/. The framework's log distinguishes input, renderer, depth, and projection failures.

Building a menu

The RPS UI SDK documents the panel API, callback ownership, rendering, and input. Each mod owns its UI code and, if used, its own Dear ImGui context and renderer backend. RPS UI handles stereo composition and controller routing. It is separate from the static RPS Framework.

Separate developer services

The current host exposes the eight-call panel table, six-call input service, and four-call cooperation table. Cooperation includes render-access agreements, a copied directory and nonblocking safe callback retirement. Consumers negotiate the service they use; panel readiness is not proof of successful rendering.
